The operating pressure of a water mist nozzle is a key technical parameter. When used for fire extinguishing, the operating pressure should not be less than 0.35 MPa; when used for protective cooling, it should not be less than 0.2 MPa; however, for Class B, Class C liquid storage tanks, it should not be less than 0.15 MPa [5-6]. Recommended pressure range: 0.35~0.7 MPa for fire extinguishing; 0.25~0.5 MPa for protective cooling.
The water mist sprayed from the water mist nozzle forms a cone extending around the nozzle's axis, and the apex angle of this cone is the atomization angle of the water mist nozzle. The atomization angle is a key parameter affecting the coverage area; common atomization angles include 80°, 100°, and 140°.
