A tee is a pipe fitting, a pipe connection. Also called a pipe tee or tee fitting, tee connector, it is used where a main pipeline branches off to a branch.
A tee is a chemical pipe fitting with three openings: one inlet and two outlets; or two inlets and one outlet. It comes in T-shape and Y-shape, with equal diameter openings and reducing openings, and is used where three identical or different pipelines converge. The main function of a tee is to change the direction of fluid flow.
Based on structure, tees are mainly divided into T-shape and Y-shape; based on the diameter of the connecting pipes, they can be divided into equal diameter tees (all three connecting pipe ends have the same size) and reducing tees (the main pipe has the same size, and the branch pipe is smaller than the main pipe). Their manufacturing processes are diverse, with common methods including hydraulic bulging and hot pressing.
